ABOUT GOD

There is only one and only one living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Gen. 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Ps. 90:2; Mt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14)

ABOUT GOD THE FATHER

God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. (Mt. 1:22, 23; Isa. 9:6; Jn. 1:1-15, 14:10-30; Heb. 4:14, 15; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Rom. 1:3, 4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim. 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13)

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. (2 Cor. 3:17; Jn. 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 2:12, 3:16; Eph. 1:13; Gal. 5:25; Eph. 5:1)

ABOUT HUMANITY

Humans are the special creation of God, in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. By their free choice humans sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore every person of every race possesses dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love. (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 8:3-6; Isa. 53:6a; Rom. 3:23; Isa. 59:1, 2)

ABOUT ETERNITY

We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence. (Jn. 3:16; 1 Jn. 2:25, 5:11-13; Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:15; Mt. 25:31-46)

ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to us. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works—only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives the gospel of Jesus Christ by faith and submits their life to His Lordship over their lives. (Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8, 9; Jn. 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Gal. 3:26; Rom. 5:1)

ABOUT THE BIBle

The Bible is God's word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 1:13; Ps. 119:105, 160, 12:6; Prov. 30:5)

ABOUT BAPTISM & COMMUNION

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. (Col. 2:12; Acts 2:41; Eph. 2:8-9; Mt. 28:19-20)

The Communion is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. (Mt. 26:26-30; Mk. 14:22-26; Lk. 22:19, 20; 1 Cor. 11:23-29)

EVANGELISM & MISSIONS

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations, to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.
